Default Playing with Tv mode

So I wanted to followup with a critique photo I did yesterday and try to better expose a subject against a bright background. After playing with iso and shutter speed in shutter priority mode heres one that I came up with. Do you think this is too overexposed?

I was trying to get it to work without using a tripod. I did quite a few shots at different settings and WB. this is the best one of the batch.

Heres the original critique photo that was underexposed:http://digital-photography-school.co...-new-dslr.html

What do you think?

Camera: Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 55 mm
Exposure: 0.00
ISO Speed: 1600
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

I thought I commented on this some time ago, but this isn't the first time this happened.
anyway, I think this shot is much better, lighting wise. Keep working at it.
