Default Dragonfly macro-closeup , Please comment !

these are beautiful .. I don't see any fault in them .. clarity is great and the colors are vibrant .. very nice

I tried to capture some shots of dragon flies just last month, I never was happy with the results. These are very nice. sharp, clear,

When doing bugs I tend to try getting the focus on the eyes right since that's usually what our eyes are drawn too. I almost always use manual focus, AF never seems to focus where I want it to focus. Number 3 is pretty soft in the eyes.

Dragon flies are easy to "stage". They love a perch about 18" off the water or near the waters edge. I use a dowel stick with a twig tied to the end of it for a natural looking perch. Beauty of staging them is you get to choose the location and back ground.


This one was "staged" HERE.

Stick he is on is simply a twig tied to a dowel rod and stuck in the mud.

I don't know what you're worried about...these are wonderful. I don't see anything wrong with them at all. Keep up the good work.

Thanks you for all of your comments, i wonder if they are over exposure ..? and the composition ....for the fly or movement insect ...really hard to compose well ...when I can capture them, it's look like a gift from Heaven for me ..

@Argon : I had to sit in middle of brushwood hour by hour under sunshine, beaten by big ant ....in order " They " get familiar with me ...spend lot of sweat ...but ..FUN . your Picture are very, very Nice . Thanks
