Default Sock it to me

Okay, with very little knowledge and a bit of fooling around....I am trying my hand at my first selective coloring. Please be honest in your comments, so I may learn from them.

Misc.

In case you hadn't guessed, these are not real, but are a display at the Botanical Gardens.

Looks good to me Leona, if you hadn't told me I'd thought they were real. Only suggestion I have is maybe a tad bit is straightening.

Very clever, I like it. I agree FDCPR in that a little straightening might help it a bit. Cheers, Bernz

Looks good, there just appears to be one section on the one egg that you didn't "colour", between 2 twigs, but other than that it looks good

Well done you, great first try. I haven't tried it yet but when I do I hope it looks this good. I spotted the missing colour at the bottom of the egg too, otherwise it is very good.

WOW! Well done you. I wouldn't have noticed they weren't 'real' eggs!

Good work, Leona.

Looking at the original version on your flickr, though, it seems that there are some areas on the eggs that were missed when you brought the color back. I know it's hard to do on this type of photo, with lots of twigs criss-crossing all over the place. And I don't think I would've noticed unless I went to the original size.

When doing things like this, I at times need to zoom into 200%, 400% or higher, just so that I can see the areas I need to fix.

But, if you could add the color back to all those areas on the eggs, your photo would look even better than it does right now.

Hope this helps.
