Default Hover Flys

I'm not after any critique of these 2 photos or this would be in the correct area. What I need is your oppinion on which you think is the better. I only ask as I like both (leaning towards the second more) but can't decide which to put in for a private group assignment on 'flight'. What do you think?

Hover fly

cheers

the second one is better of the flower, but if the assignment is about flight, i'd use the first one, because the fly is much more clearly the subject, rather than a photo of a flower that happens to also have something flying in it.

hope that helps

both are beutiful, but the second one is far more intersting imo, because there's a destination for your bee. has more of a story quality.

Thank you all for your replies, I will continue to ponder the problem as I have until the 17th to get an entry in. Time for more photos!

Dang, they're both great shots, glad I'm not the one that has to choose.
