Default Toronto storm

it was my first time trying to shoot lightning, so most of them turned out quite bad. but for next time (will probably be tonight, more storms coming) i'm hoping to have better shots so much fun to watch too, there were times i didn't even really care i missed the shot because it was just so cool to see

wow thanks so much for the comments, i'm humbled

the truth is, the vast majority of shots i took failed. these two were the only half decent ones. a few others were ok but not really worth posting

not much photoshop either for the colors. added a lot of black, contrast and clarity, but the colors were so spectacular last night that i didn't even really need to enhance them much.

basically. tripod and bulb mode. these two shots were taken with 16 and 22 seconds with 3.5 aperture and 800 and 400 iso. honestly, i was just messing around trying to find what worked, i didn't go out with a certain way i would shoot it, all i knew i was going to do is use the tripod and on bulb mode.

totally nuts. the park i went to, it was packed with cars. people were just watching as if fireworks were going on. at times i was just having fun watching while i was exposing another area of sky hehe.

i'm thinking of going downtown for part 2 of crazy storms. i hope it's crazier than last night
