![]() I was going through some pictures I took back in the day with my point and shoot. Just thought I'd share this one. It's the only panorama I've ever taken. This is Pilot Mountain in North Carolina. We took our 4 boys there when our youngest was 3 months old. We walked a mile long trail, and they had a great time. Larger image here Link to Photo Set & a few previews... ![]() It seems like this was forever ago.... November will be 3 years... ![]() Someone else took this one, but it was our first family portrait:

It's really great, if I can dig up some of our other pictures I'll include them. There was such a nice view and there was a "cave" we all sat in and took pictures. Really neat, I'll see if I can find them. I'm also pretty sure you can scale the mountain, too.

You added some more photos, great shots. Nice to see these as now I live in the middle of the ocean, but I have sat in the exact same spot as your family in the last shot. You are correct, at least a few years ago you could climb all the way to the top. I have been to the top and repelled down the side off of it. Who knows now though, I haven't been in the area for eight years or so.
