Default Lightning in Beijing

I was in China recently and a storm rolled through one night. I have always wanted to capture a lightning strike so I grabbed my camera and started shooting. This is the best of several strikes I was able to catch. Thanks for looking.

This comment is just plain unfair but here goes: I am sooooooo jealous! Setting my feelings aside and trying to sound really mature, I say "what a great photo. Aside from the "lucky strike", the atmosphere and the vibrant colors of your photo are just great!" Did I pass? (Still inwardly whining).

Too cool. I've always loved a good storm but don't have any good vantage points to watch from anymore.

Great shot, there are rarely storms during the night where I live so its almost impossible for me to get an image like this.

What a shot!!!! This is really incredible. I would love to get a shot like this, but sadly, I am literally terrified of lightning. The thought of having to be anywhere close to a strike sends chills up my spine. Thanks for sharing.
