Default Vacation Shots

Hello,

I'm new to Digital Photography School as of this weekend and digital photography in general as of these last few months.

Here a few shots I took in Jamaica with my Nikon D80 and a 70-300 1:4-5.6 G lens. It's pretty much my go-to lens at this point, though, I also have a 50mm 1.8. My post-processing tinkering consisted of cropping them down to 5x7 in Picasa 3 and hitting a button that says, in effect, "I feel lucky."

Oh yes, the last shot of the seagull was snapped at Zuma Beach last Sunday. I look forward to improving and having fun learning here over the next months. I've already picked up a lot of tips for fireworks last night!

Welcome! These are very nice. I love the action of the divers (can you say CRAZY?). I LOVE the beautiful sunset, really gorgeous. Great capture of the seagull, fabulous focus, color and clarity. They can be quite difficult to capture so sharply. Great set. I hope to go to Jamaica someday! Thanks for sharing these!
