Not my clearest picture ever but it sure was fun trying to get a shot of these guys. They seemd to have quite the personality and would sit and tease me and then fly off

Be still my heart. Oh, golly, I love Red-winged blackbirds. Theirs is my favorite bird call. This angle, feet in the landing position and the red chevrons displayed is just fabulous. I also love their habitat. The reeds in the foreground are just perfect. How many takes did he allow?

I like that shot with those colors displayed. It is hard to get any bird in flight in such a manner that it looks good but you have done it here. It looks like it is thinking, "Oh crap, I have just flown into a photographic trap!"......well it did...nice capture

Thanks all. I only took about 10 ten shots as i was really tired and wanted to go home.
I chose not to boost any contrast or saturation as I didnt want anything to be taken away from the bird who is all ready bright. I appreciate the suggestion tho.
