Default Warning, Spiders with attitude

I went back for more Spider shots yesterday afternoon; I took my Sigma 105mm f/2.8 and the canon MT-24 Macro twin flash and I really like the results. I hope you do as well.

Look at the Paws on this guy, I've never seen anything like him before.

Heres a little closer crop.

I'm still learning with the MT-24, I had to really reduce the Apeture. f25 to F29 in some cases. I like this guy alot, with the reflections on the web. I call him Handsome!

And the last one is a Happy accident; This one was deep in his web, I didn't think it would turn out at all; but when I hit Auto Adjust in Photoshop, this was the result and I like the colors.

Thanks for Looking
Chewys Dad.

Shudder! I watched too many B movies from the 1950s about spiders eating people, so I would never have gotten this close to a spider. Bees? No problem. Roaches? Sure. Ants? Bring 'em on. Spiders? Absolutely not.

Wow! That's one scarey fellow. I'd hate to meet him a dark alley some night. Great captures.

Thanks Rusty! If you did meet him, you'd probably step on him by accident anyway!

Gave me the shudders looking at them, but was fascinated with the closeups you got.

Love the colors, especially in the last one!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Vinam; I appreciate it. I really think that they are facinating, but frankly they scare me as well.

Chewys Dad,

These guys build great traps! Even the littlest spiders I see, have those club-fisted things on each side of the mouth - like a toddler with two spoons. These are full of detail - while I don't much care for being walked on by them, spiders can be fascinating to watch and photograph. Stay inspired and unbitten.
