Default Powerlines

What do y'all think? I took these long before I had a dSLR, so they were taken on a Olympus Stylus 1500SW. Therefore, I don't know any of the shooting info. Give me opinions on each shot. Also, neither are in black and white. The sky was just really strange that day. Neither were post-processed, either.

I like the second one. It is a nice example of silhouetting with the trees, pole, and lines. The first one I don't care for the composition of it. For me, the lines are going in the wrong direction and I don't expect to see them like that. Plus it lacks the support of other elements that the second photo has.

Moved from critique section. Too many photos and no specific questions asked per the critique forum rules.
