This post is a testament to what can go wrong
I went for a walk today near Borough market in Southwark, which is on the opposite side of the Thames from the City of London, and discovered the churchyard of St George The Martyr. To my delight I found a stand of flowers simply covered in bees gathering pollen, and proceeded to take about 25 shots of them. Of course only one of them was in focus and not blurry, and it was of a bee's backside (note to self, spot focus and fast shutter speed next time I attempt this...)![]() Yesterday I did manage to get a few nice shots though, as I walked with a friend through the Inns of Court - I'd love to meet the groundsman who thought this up - he must spend a lot of time reading fantasy and romance novels I think!

Those are both nice shots! Yeah, the bees don't seem to be too cooperative about getting their portraits done do they?
