Default Water drop for strobist group

i took almost 200 shots, and i think this is the best. man that stuff is NOT as easy as you would think.

I feel your pain. I took a few hundred shots of a strawberry dropping into a glass bowl of water and never did get what I wanted. Good job with this one.

excellent shot! i like how well you captured the rebound of the water droplets. the three droplets are so clear the colors are awesome.

Great shot and wonderful colors; With these timeing is everything; I know some folks use a IR trigger to release the flash and shutter with a delay, to technical for me;
like you I just take lots of shots and hope for the best

Beautiful....am interested in how you got that blue and red light in there. What's the water sitting in? how deep?

every shot i look at on here today just gets better & better - this is brilliant - specifically the lighting effects which bring it to life

pjflan7, the water is sitting in a frying pan filled to the brim. I set it on a chair, then put a blue tupperware top behind it (resting on the chairs back). Then i draped a red shirt over that, and pointed a strobe at the tupperware/shirt at 1/64 power.
