Fletch's post, The Bluest Sky Ever, reminded me of this beautiful sky when I took this photo.
![]() Taken in the first cemetary in Memphis, established in 1852. This particular angel is atop the marker for a Rembert family where there are four names listed with the earliest death in 1885 and the most recent one in 1932.

Stunning capture Lori. As I said to fletch. The gorgeous blue sky really brings out the textures in this lovely capture. Thank you also for the story of the image.
Jake.

Beautiful, Lori! That sky is amazing, and I love the angle and composition of this. Great story behind the marker, too....old cemeteries are so cool! A few towns over from me there's one that dates back to the 1600's, I really need to get my butt down there with my camera.

Thank you guys. I will be returning to this cemetary, I only went through a small portion of it. It was quite interesting reading, for those that are still ledgible, the tombstones and markers.
Susan, you must get down to that cemetary. My goodness from the 1600's? That's just too awesome.
