Default "Say Cheese...please!"

My niece was sitting out on the patio eating her lunch. It was a beautiful sunny day. She was shaded by the umbrella and I thought the lighting might just work for a portrait. I told her to say cheese, which usually brings out a big grin...but she would not cooperate! Got this sweet look instead Sucks that her dad was sitting behind her (hence the arm and the black shirt). But I've got to take her where I can get her as she is impossible to pose!
Thanks for looking!

(critique welcome )

Beautifully done. Soft focus the arm and shirt into the background. She is a perfect subject. Kids will get to you real quick. Got to Love em...

This is a great photo. When it comes to children you have to take what ever you can, but sometimes these are the best shots.

You caught her in a cute moment, nice job. I love the eyes, the reflection or catchlight in them!

Thank you n5kc. Here is the same pic with the shirt/arm in softer focus.
