Default long exposures....

hi all...got my remote last week, and seeing that i was going camping for the weekend, thought that it might be a good time to try out some longer exposures...here are a few of them.....



DPP_1147

3 minute exposure in black + white


DPP_1151

3 minute exposure - using my maglite wrapped in red cellophane to highlight the trunk!


DPP_1152

12 minute exposure - tree lit by campfire


DPP_1153

30 minute exposure - my first real attempt at star trails!!!

Great job, the last two are my favorites. I like the way the fire lights up the tree.

guys, thanks so much for your wonderful replies....it really encourages me to get out there and try new things and push my personal boundaries. i am still really new to this caper, so getting such wonderful feedback inspires me more. thanks so much once again!!!!!

What a lovely set of captures m.dubya. The first one is my favourite of the set. Just got to love the misty background and the silhouette is amazing. That is not to say the rest are not good too. Great work with the star trails. I wouldn't be without my remote. Makes things a lot more fun. This is excellent work and a pleasure to view.
