Default Sharing Project Erosion

This is a shot from a new project I have started working on. It's something that affects close to where I live but can't really do much about it now, plus I believe nature should be left to do it's own thing! It's costal erosion by the way, but it's particularly bad down this section of the East Riding of Yorkshire Coast in England. Mainly affecting villages between Bridlington and the mouth of the river Humber.

The main problem is that the county council refuse to help those residents that are forced to move because of the erosion problems. Now like I mentioned, I cannot do anything in my power to stop this from happening or change how it's handeled but it's something close to home and provides quite a few opportunities for some different shots.

Now this shot is a HDR with three RAW files taken on a D200 with a Sigma 18-200mm lens. ISO is 125, cant remember the other settings sorry!

More shots from the project can be found on Flickr.

Hello Martyn
People are regularly losing their homes to the relentless coastal erosion and the council and government appear unable and unwilling to help. Your camera work will become a living journal to remind and embarrass officials about their legal, social and moral obligations, and an important record for future generations to learn from.
Good luck to you, especially if you have a property on or near the coast
