Default Aurora Borealis

I shot this a couple of minutes ago. It more or less a snapshot of the sky. Next time I'll try to make something special, like using the wide-angle instead of a normal lens

very nice shot even without the wide angle.
how long was the exposure on this one?

Haven't seen you in a while - that is really cool..I've always wanted to see this in person..maybe someday..looks stunning even with the lens you used..beautifully captured

It was a 30 second shot according to Flickr. I always wondered about how I would take a shot of the Northern Lights. Is it really necessary to take a 30 second shot? Could it be done & still look as impressive taking a 1 second or even a 1/60th of a second shot? Very Cool Indeed!!
