Default My first concert attempt, Its hard!

So we had a big air show at the AFB this weekend, Friday was for military folks only, and they had the Lt. Dan band there (Lt. Dan, from Forrest Gump) Gary Sinise plays bass (rather well I might add) in the band, and they're actually pretty darn good. I was able to get pretty close on the side of the stage, had no idea how to shoot in those conditions...grabbed my trusty E-10, and gave it a go. These are some of the shots I got, not great, but 'ok'

nice work. I did some photography for some friend's who had a band in toronto a few years ago. it is definately not easy... especially since I only had a point and shoot at the time. They seemed to like the shots with a slower shutter though. Unless everyone is standing still on stage(unlikley), showing a little movement adds to the energy present when actually at the show.

Thanks guys ;-) Yep, I had no idea what settings to use, as it was night, lots of lights, and they kept changing up the lights as well...I just had the on camera flash (although the E-10's is pretty good) I finally ended up bracing the camera on the stage, to keep it as steady as possible, and cocking the camera up...it was def. an experience LOL I know there are some folks on here that do it all the time, I'll have to find out their secrets ;-)

Default Nice Photos: Boopster / Flickr Account

Very lovely photographs,Stella.
I saw these posted by Boopster earlier on Flickr at:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/txsheepdogs/4083948584/

Now I'm curious if you are Boopster, or who is who.
I photograph Mr. Sinise often and though I have a Flickr account it is currently set to private only.
Normally, I post my photographs of Mr.Sinise on my Facebook account:
www.facebook.com/victoriachristian

I hope you will come find me and talk with me about these photographs and the Boopster account on Flickr.

Kindest Regards,
Victoria

If you click on the pics, it will indeed take you to my flickr account, and yes I am boopster. Kind of curious how you tracked these pics to DPS, as I see this is your first post here...You're not like a Gary Sinise stalker are you

Well thank you JR! ;-) I've got a few more, need to run them through LR...I'm not used to shooting people, it's kind of fun! ;-)
