This is another shot that I took in on Pensacola Beach. I'd like feedback on things like the contrast, color and overall composition of this photo. Landscapes seem to be a common theme for me right now, but that's probably because I'm still trying to find my style in photography. Any feedback is helpful. Thanks.

The rest of my photos from this shoot are on my flickr account... feel free to check them out: Flickr: Chelle§hock's Photostream

I feel like this scene lends itself to a landscape orientation as opposed to the portrait one you've given it. I think having more water on the left and less of the ground and sky would create a better overall balance of negative and positive space.
I would say this could also be improved by placing your horizon higher or lower in the frame, as right now it is right in the center. The same goes for the house that is also centered. These thing combined seem to make the shot very static.
The color and contrasts are pretty nice. I suppose you could take them up a notch, especially in the sky for added drama if you wanted to.

I don't mind the portrait format at all - it reflects the height in the trees, lampposts & clouds.

I do think there's more interest in the sky than in the foreground, so I'd put the horizon lower, and boost the contrast to dramatise the sky.

I have a personal thing about seaweed/sea grass in foregrounds - I think it looks "messy" unless it's in a thick (and smelly) mat. I've never been able to work out how to manage it.

Looking at your other pics from your flickr page, I just love Angry Cloud.

I would prefer perhaps if it was slightly more vibrant. Overall, I love the composition.

Default Angry Cloud and Curvy Bay

I also love Angry Cloud, but putting the horizon nearer the bottom (Crop out the out-of-focus lower wave batch) would really add punch.

I also agree with making the sky the prominent subject in Curvy Bay is the way to go.
