Default Loosing sharpness

Hi all ...
I have a little problem and am wondering if anyone here can help

Here is the problem

I shoot only in raw .. I download the pic in DPP do a few minor adjustments then convert the to tiff 16 bit to work on them in Paint shop pro .. lately I have notice a pretty big difference in sharpness ( qualtity ) when I opnend the tiff files in PSP .. kinda wondering why this is .. did not notice this before ... can anyone help !!!!

Do you have any "picture styles" turned on either in DPP or on the camera?

no picture styles turned on in dpp .. custom picture style on camera .. would this make a difference ??

maybe there is a sharpness setting on the camera that got switched? I don't use picture styles, so not sure, and I've never adjusted my in camera sharpness settings... Love my 50D though...

Can you give an example of where you're seeing an apparent loss of sharpness?

When I load a pic of a bird in dpp I can see all the details in the feathers but when I convert it to Tiff 16 bit I loose lots of that detail ...
