Default What effect is this?

Hi there. I'm fairly new to photography, especially the post-processing component. I love the effect in this photo, but I have no idea how the photographer went about doing it. Does anyone know what effect this is? Thank-you so much for any help you can provide.

What effect are you referring to? I see nothing special in this beside the viewpoint and angle (composition)

looks like a soft focus filter was used which is typical for wedding photography.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I've seen the unedited photos and the color isn't anything like that one I posted above. Here is an edited photo and then an unedited one.

That's not the same shot, and there's no visual difference between the two, at least as far as I can tell.

I realize it's not the same shot. Sorry, guess I'm not explaining it properly. When I look at the collection of photos I can (and others) can tell that some of them were post-processed and some were not. The color is different.

Thank-you for your time though.

The only difference I see between the two shots is that the first one looks to have had a blur applied to the background. Also, the reds in that shot appear to be a little more saturated, to the point of losing detail in the flower, but that that could also be the effect of attaching the photo to the thread.

I agree with Marcus. It looks as if the photo has merely been oversaturated and quite heavily processed. No special effect, just a lot of heavy handed PP
