Default Whats the secret ingredient here?

I came across this image today and it really made an impression. Click to view large size and appreciate the photo better

What do you think is the secret ingredient here? What makes this image pop, apart from a very beautiful and (potentially) airbrushed model? She is popping out of the image and that is adding to the beauty of it. What specific pre and post-processing things would the photographer have in mind?

Your inputs will be appreciated.

I like the white bench and background I think it works as a good place to take a portrait. She obviously has been airbrushed as for the rest of the image I don't suspect much was done except some bits of cleanup. This was shot on a cloudy day as well you can tell by the soft shadows the bench is casting.

Without the model there I think it still could be a nice image with a contrast bump I'm sure there are all sorts of cool patterns from the wood under the paint.

How often do you see a white bench and a white wall? I can't even think of a time I've ever seen one.

Im with Danny, I don't see a whole lot of anything going on but right time and right place and right set up.
The muted background and almost monochrome background helps to make her pop out. I would think maybe the same effect can be achieved by finding a similar scene and taking a shot of it then a shot with the subject. Then put the subject on a seperate layer so you can keep the background intact and bland. MAybe eve na touch of desaturation if you have an all white background such as this one. Could even use a very very soft blur....not enough to blur it just to knock the edge off the lines and the edges of the bench.
really great shot though I htink it works well!
