good on computer printed not

i took some photos and took them to be printed...i am curious as to why some came out really clear and crisp and some look soft. all the photos look fine on the computer

i printed all photos at a size of 8"x 10"

Depends on the pictures and the lab your had them printed in. Can you post one that came out nice and one that came out badly (the files, not pictures of the prints)? That might help.
