Ok so i'm new to all this and wanted to try and send a picture to be printed by Mpix because i've heard lot of good stuff about them however i was reading "How to prepare your images" and it wants the pictures to be saved in a sRGB color space in 8-bit color, not 16-bit. I really don't know how to even go about doing that. I want them to turn out good so i need to figure this out apparently. PLEASE HELP!! By the way i'm using Paint shop pro X2 in case you wanted to know.

What they are telling you is that they want a 8 bit sRGB color profile. This is not uncommon as printers can not print all the colors that are in adobeRGB or some of the other color profiles.
I am not familiar with paint shop pro so I can not tell you how to change the color space.

I think you're stressing yourself out for a problem which doesn't exist
If you take a photo and save as a jpeg I'll eat my hat if it isn't already 8bit sRGBI'm pretty sure jpeg is an 8 bit file type and you don't say which camera you use but it almost certainly shoots in sRGB as that is what most/all monitors display. If you're still worried contact the company's support team (maybe even include the file) and ask them to double check it meets their requirements. |

Save it as jpeg. You'll be fine. As DogHeadGod said, there's a problem you're more imagining than real!
