Hello! I hope this is the right spot to ask this...
I have been editing my photos in Lightroom on my Mac and get the colors just right. When I upload them to Picasa, Flickr or (ha) Facebook and view them on my PC the contrast is high and they appear much darker. I look at other photos on websites I've explored (including this awesome site) and the colors seem to be correct elsewhere so it makes me wonder if it's something about the way I'm editing my pictures. This is frustrating as I feel I have to defend my shots when I show them on my PC (2 different monitors). Does anyone have suggestions for how to get photos to render the same colorwise on all monitors? I do recognize that there will be a difference no matter what, but was hoping to minimize it if possible. Thanks! Elizabeth Picasa Web Albums - Eric and Elizabeth |

If you calibrate your monitors they should all appear the same along with your printer. Might want to read this: How to Calibrate Your Monitor: 12 steps - wikiHow . Your images should look pretty much the same on all your devices. They may loose a little quality when published to the web.

Thanks Trader! I'll give that a shot. I take it this should be done on the computer I'm doing the editing on primarily, but the other one I view them on as well?
Appreciate the help! |
