Default Lightroom "Show Import Diaglog When Memory Card Is Detected"

I have this really irritating issue with Lightroom. I am on Vista 64bit with Lightroom 64bit and whenever I put a memory card, thumbdrive, etc. in, Lightroom opens with the import dialog. I have unchecked the "Show Import Diaglog When Memory Card Is Detected" option in the preferences screen 100 times. When I close Lightroom and open it again, it is checked. Has anyone else had this issue? I have also looked in the the Vista autoplay options and changed those. Thanks.

If you insert a memory card and double click on "My Computer," Right Click on the card, the third line down (under the General tab) says; "Open with:" . . . an application name . . . . and [Change]

Does that say, "LightRoom?" if it does there is your problem. If it says anything else then I am stumped.

I've checked that before and it's not only a memory cards. It happens with external hard drives, usb thumb drives, etc. It seems like that option within lightroom should work by itself without having to modify the autostart properties on the computer.

I think I had the same problem as you, and I know how irritating it is. I'd plug in my USB drive to get some Word documents and Lightroom would open, check out

Lightroom Help

It worked for me
