Do you use Flickr? If so, check out fd's Flickr Toys; lots of things there that might help create the kind of thing you are after.

How about using a Photoshop Action to do the collage? I'm not sure what version of PS you're using, or what type of collage you're looking for... but I came across a few free actions that might help you create the collage bit of it. I'm sure there are more, but my attention span is very short tonight lol

Are you trying to create collages out of multiple pictures (kind of like scrapbooking?) or are you just trying to split up a single picture in an interesting way?

What kind of collage are you trying to create. Do you want to blend pictures together or create a block linear style layout?

I can help you with easy tips for Photoshop if you know how to use it, the basics anyways.

Thank you so much ,am useing photo studio ,it is not as good a program as photo shop ,but if was given to me . I worked on 2 last night & had them printed as posters to day one was ok but the other was not . any tips you have would be great ,as i would like to do more photo collages ,even if I have to buy special soft ware to do so , but i want to know what programs are worth paying for . I hoped someone could point me in the right direction , I want to be able to do a vatiety of collages . what i did was 9 photos in picasa collage then in photo studio I framed and grided it so it is basic , I think something with templates would be easier , but have not found it .This is the best i could come up with .

Not sure how useful this would be to you, but since you're already on Flickr, what about trying Scrapblog? It has templates and text and you can import your pictures from Flickr and save your whole creation as a jpg. The only problem was that I couldn't see a way to crop pictures if you wanted them square or something when you make your own template. But it might be something to look at (especially since it's a free online thing )

Another possible solution is some of the scrapbooking software. ArcSoft (who I think that PhotoStudio is by) has a program called Collage Creator (that's from 2003). But there's a 15 day trial of it on their website. They have since updated the program to Scrapbook Creator, but it might be a useful starting place, especially since you'd already be familiar with the type of software they do.
