I thought you were on dial up, but then I didn't see it, so I figured maybe I was wrong and didn't say it Hopefully one of those programs is useful to you And duh, I just noticed that your picture was posted from Picasaweb I might have been a bit delirious from all the rain we're having... water torture and all

I think your collage looks great!

I would recommend Photoshop Elements and it does not have to be the latest version either. That would give you the most flexibility, but it would not really have templates or anything like that.

For that you would need more of a digital scrapbooking type software, I am not really familiar with them since I do everything from scratch. But I think scrapgirls.com has some good info on that and maybe even products. It's geared towards digital scrapbooking, but the basics are the same. If you have photoshop, I thought I saw that somewhere? Then scrapgirls does have tutorials I believe to help you use it.

I am not sure about the program you are using, never used it, but when I make my block style collages like you have done. I create a second layer, and cut out, using a marquee tool and my ruler and grid, boxes on the page and then can just plop my pictures in the background of all the holes.

Next time turn off Windows updates while you're downloading Then it won't restart in the middle of your download. But that really sucks about it only getting to 68%. I'd just say wait a few days and try again when you have a few hours to spare

All of the Scrapbooking sites have templates for calendars and collages. You just "paste into" the blank areas. Here's an example of the July freebies from one of the sites. (sorry, can't remember which one!).

There are lots and lots of digital scrapbooking websites - forums like this one, blogs, stores, etc. One great site for both free tutorials and paid classes is Digital Scrapbook Place - http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/. A designer of good templates that I really like is Jen Caputo at Scrapbook Graphics - http://www.scrapbookgraphics.com/xca...ufacturerid=23. I do digital scrapbooking and I started out with Photoshop Elements, then upgraded to Photoshop CS2 last year. I love PSCS2, but PSE is a great program too - and really all you need for digital scrapbooking. Feel free to pm me if you want to talk digi scrapping.
