hey there, i have a really neat photo i took of a dragonfly this week, and after doing a bit of PPing, i notice there is a giant spot of something right above the dragonfly. here are the before and after shots. could someone please remove the spot, or give me a tutorial on what tools to use (i have photoshop cs4) and how to use them? thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

as vsa said, use the clone/heal brush tool..

u can also clean the spot at the bottom of the photo jus below the dragonfly..

was this caused due to dirty lens?

Looks like normal lens flare.

sorry to hear about you n your bf.. hope nothin's too serious..

n i'm sorry for mistaking lens flare for your carelessness ( by implying dirty lens ).. this this flare should be easily rectifiable.. so u'd still have a stellar image..

it's all good! still haven't had time to try the tutorials though, looks like i'm gonna be doing a lot more laundry/dishes/cooking for the next 8+ weeks, my boyfriend had an injury on his quad and broke his scaphoid. a pretty serious bone in the hand to break since there is actually a blood vessel running through it. so if it doesn't heal correctly, the bone could die, meaning he could lose mobility of the thumb. EEK!

i think all shall be okay though, with time.
