I know you can't use your display to compare to what a print should be like, two different processes. But I want to find a company that acknowledges that there are many out there like us that do their own post-processing and will cater to our market and not screw up our sensitive exposures and adjustments.

Anybody found such a place? Any I should stay away from?

Awesome, looking over the Blurb site it appears that this would be a good choice regarding my concerns.

Nobie, Blurb actually has downloadable color spaces that exactly match their printers. I'm not sure where I found this, as I used it a long time ago. Essentially, once you download it you can apply that color space to your photo in PS and see if it will cause any significant changes. This all assumes your screen is callibrated correctly . . . hope it works for you!

My wife suprised me a couple years ago for my 1st fathers day with a large hardcover book from Blurb and it turned out AWESEOME......she worked on it for a few months gathering photo's i've taken of our daughter and put it together. like mentioned before very high quality. working on doing another one for a 2 year recap of our daughters first 2 years before the new little one arrives in the spring so she has something special just for her. good luck!
