Default Question for Photoshop Elements 7 users

Hope I am posting this in the right place.

I use PE7 and it is constantly freezing up on me when I am editing my pictures, so much to the point that I've given up and stopped shooting in RAW. My hubby thinks it is our pc and not having enough whatever it is that computers are suppose to have (sorry, computers aren't my thing).
Does anyone else have this problem?

If the computer is older, chances are that is indeed the problem. The machine might not have sufficient system memory (RAM) or a capable processor (CPU) to handle larger tasks like RAW editing.
You may want to check you computer's hardware and post up what it is to make sure that is the problem though.
To do this, you can just right click your My Computer icon and hit properties. Then just look under the General tab.

Elements 7 requires a CPU of at least 2 GHz and 1GB of RAM, though I would suggest having at least 2 for RAW editing.

I agree with the previous poster, you probably dont have enough ram, if your computer is 3 or 4 years old most of them only came with 512mb of ram standard. You can try and make sure that elements is the only thing running when you are editing but the long term solution is to get more memory (for the computer not you)

ahhh, that does appear to be the problem, thanks to both of you that replied. I have a laptop on the way that has 4GB, that should solve my issues.
Thanks again!
