Default Color Profiles

Hopefully this is the best spot for this thread. I just bought a Spyder2Express to calibrate my new monitor. I wanted to know if after I calibrated it if I should be using the Spyder ICC profile it created for my monitor in photoshop. Right now I'm using the profile for my monitor but I wasn't sure if I should be using it in photoshop as well. I'm using srgb 1966 profile right now because I keep all my stuff online and do web design as well.

I hope I explained that well enough. Also I noticed that when I save a picture with the 1966 profile it looks the same as it did in photoshop when online, but if I use the spyder profile or 1998 for that matter it looks different, even though it looked the same on my computer.
