I just wondered what peoples thoughts are on this type of photo. It is relatively easy to do and I really like the feel on how it gives so much more of a 3D effect. Yet I see hardly any of it being done. Is it something that is a 'phase' that everybody does just to get over it? It certainly isnt a photo anymore is it.

Is it that as you go down your photography journey that this type of thing is snubbed at because you 'know' it is post processed? Is that how most people view things? You can heavily PP but the aim is that it is not obvious to the viewer?

There's nothing wrong with turning your photo into a digital painting. It is often done, especially in wedding photography for an image that is going to be printed very big. There are individuals who specialize in it and often times turn portraits into paintings.
I like what you've done with your artwork!
