Default Ok I downloaded GIMP...

It looks cool and many things look familiar (sort of) but it is going to be a bit of a learning curve from PSE5. I look forward to experimenting. Any tutorials or videos I should look into that could help me learn how to use it to its best potential? I mean thats the point of having it right? To use it.

Have a browse through the official documentation page - that has a range of resources and you should find something that matches your needs, whether you want a step by step tutorial or a complete manual to work through.

YouTube is a friend also for video tutorials. ^^
When you get the basic functions like layering and stuff, it's fun and useful just to play around and experiment.

Here is a great video tutorial podcast:
http://meetthegimp.org/

There are now 92 episodes, and starting from #1 and working through in order isn't necessarily the best idea. The author suggests a starting list of episodes in the forum here:

Sorry for posting this in the wrong spot at first, was not sure where it belonged. Thanks for moving it to a better location.
Thank you all for you input. I will follow up on all of them. I look forward to playing with it and learning some new skills.

Also, the Gimpguru website can be useful.
