Hi everyone
I did start a thread about thid before and thought I had fixed the problem. Then my computer blew up and I had to install PS CS3 on my new comp. Now when I am saving, PS is saving my photos as files that cant be reopened in PS, even Picasa 'Invalid Image'. These are the steps I take File - Save as Pop up box; File name: my own Format: JPEG The things automaticaly marked that I leave are; * ICC Profile: sRGB *use lower case extension Save Pop up box; Quality: 8 HIGH Format Options: Baseline ("standard") Thats it!! I rang Adobe for support but they cant help me bacause my software is fraudgulent. I guess thats what you get for buying of ebay, but I cant afford it from the shop. Does anyone have a clue about this problem or can PLEASE help me |

There is a possibility that you were sold an incomplete copy of Photoshop since you did not buy an authorized copy. In that case, you may not be able to fix the problem.
Perhaps you should try Gimp. It is a free post processing program very much like Photoshop. Many people here use it and love it. |

Probably now have some nice backdoor installed on your computer so they can use your workstation as a bot for spamming email.
Congrats ![]() I've never actually paid to be hacked, very impressive. If I was you I would probably backup your important data ASAP and reinstall windows. I then then start by using GIMP if you lack the funds right now for photoshop.

--- Does it mess up with every format or just jpg? Can you open the jpgs with other program than Photoshop and Picasa? ..which would be mighty weird... Does it do it with other ICC profiles? How about when saving for "Web & Devices"?

I read this happening to someone online.
The solution was just to name it with the default name photoshop gives you (ex: if it wanted to save it as 03.20.2009.jpeg, just leave it). Then just name it in the folder you saved it in.

Go to the adobe website and download all the updates for your product. They should install ok, and if not then you will get an error message saying the update cannot go ahead.
I would also suggest that unless you have a particular reason for doing it, don't save your files as jpeg use tiff. Each time you save your jpeg it will degrade the quality due to compression. You may find the upgrades will solve the problem. |

I was playing around abit and found that it saves in TIFF format.
Can someone please explain to me the difference between the different formats. Do they change the quality of you photos? And would they be accessable from other peoples computers? (I want to send some pics on disc to my sister) |
