What company do you suggest for ordering large quility prints over the internet? I used Kodak.com for the first time to order a 16 x 20, it was only $15 and arrvied in 3 days. turned out good but certainly not great. I'm sure there are much better options out there and I want to start odering top quality 20 x 30 photos. Suggestions?

I use White House Custom Color (www.whcc.com) for professional results. I think they are the best out there. Their quality is great! Their service is outstanding and their turn-around time is fantastic. Plust their prices aren't that bad either. They are slightly more expensive than Adorama or Mpix but shipping is included in their price. They also offer drop shipping options which are very much appreciated!

I have used two: adoramapix and mpix. They are both good, very high quality, and have a lot of options for sizes and finishes. Adoramapix offers uncropped photos, meaning you can print odd sizes more easily. Mpix, in my opinion, has generally better color rendition and overall service, but is slightly more expensive. Adoramapix runs frequent reasonbly good sales, mpix runs only occasional REALLY good sales.

As dcclark mentioned, adoramapix and mpix are both good. Mpix most recently had a sale on very large photo prints, which probably would have suited you well (I think the minimum size was 16x20"). So keep an eye out for sales and try out a few places. Eventually you'll find somewhere you're happy with.
Note: I moved this over to post-processing and printing since it's about getting photos printed.

Believe it or not my sister is a pro photographer and she recommend I use wither Sam's Club or Costco like they do. I used Costco and I and my client were very happy with the results.

I have had samples printed from WHCC, Millers, and ProDPI. I was most impressed with ProDPI and WHCC. What do you think are the strengths of each? Thanks!

WHCC had most of the options I wanted to offer so I went with them for most of last year. Miller's offers an upscale appearance in their custom packaging (can't remember what they call it now). MPIX seems to fit my framing needs better than the others. MyPhotoPipe has great quality and customer service at a bit lower price than the others, but they, for some reason, have ridiculously high prices for 5x7 lustre prints, so if I get an order with a lot of 5x7's in it I won't use them. I hear their canvass prints beat WHCC. I'll know more next week when I get some back from each. |
