what is going on?! LR importing!

I am importing pictures into lightroom2 and for some reason, its only importing jpg, not the raw files? any ideas why? i cant figure it out, and im getting frustrated!

Couple questions:
1. Are you sure you're shooting raw?
2. Are you shooting raw+jpg?
3. Did you check the actual folder where the imported files live?
4. How are you importing? (ie copy to new location, leave in original location)

i went into lightroom, went to import from device

that only imported jpg.

so i used the camera utility and imported to my external harddrive. then when i went into LR to import from there, it said the cr2 files were either corrupt or unsupported

I think you just need to update, the 50D is relatively new.

Probably both, your camera's firmware and Lightroom.

Open Lightroom, click help>check for updates.
