Question Help Please

I trying to find a way to embed a photo onto a document and make it look as if it were part of the document (poem essentially) and not like it was just stuck there. Can anyone help me with this?

I'm using PS (I have PS7 and CS2) using windows format. I don't realy want the image as part of a background as such. I want to essentially erase the background so that the image looks like part of the paper. I've seen birth certificates with the baby's picture on it, for example, and the picture does not look as though it was simply pasted on.

so you want the image to fade into the background?

sounds like a white vignette on the picture then put it in the document that you want and type your words in there. that's if you're using white paper.

Old Wolf,
I think that's just what I'm after.

How do I go about it?

Thanks in advance.

what program are you using?

in basic steps you make a selection around the area that you don't want to vignette. reverse the selection. feather that selection so there isn't a harsh border. use the fill flood tool to fill in the area with white or your color of choice.
