Default Aperture Problems

I don't know if anyone here uses Apple's Aperture, but I've been having problems lately. It seems as thought the Vault feature is broken, as I can't seem to backup to it anymore. Every time I try, I get errors, and it's really frustrating. It makes me want to stop using Aperture and switch to Lightroom (I recently picked up a copy). Any suggestions?
