Default post processing question

Hi - I am just wondering if it is possible to make an adjustment to the ISO setting after the fact? I mistakenly left my camera on ISO 800 after shooting a basketball game and the portrait of my daughter came out a bit grainy. I know it is probably wishful thinking but I thought it worth a shot to ask.
The picture is attached.
Thanks.
Stephanie

no, you cannot change the actual iso after the fact. But what you can do is lighten, dralem remove noise, boost contrast etc.
What is it you were wanting to alter in your image?

thank you for your answer
I know I can not change the ISO setting after the fact - I was just looking to be able to adjust for my error by removing some of the graininess. The overall picture is not as clear as I would have liked - particularly when I see it next to one I took after I realized my mistake.
thanks
Stephanie

what software are you using for your postprocessing? Most have a noise removal option

to me it looks fine. But if you want more removal you can always apply a gaussian blur on a duplicate layer and then erase areas that need to remain sharp, like the eyes and lips ect
or do you have a soft focus tool?

great thank you
I forgot about the gaussian blur - I like using that for softening portraits
I will try it

I also like Noiseware's free software - works much better than the Photoshop noise removal.

I use noise ninja but another good way is to duplicate the image add gaussian blur to the top layer then erase top layer where you want it sharp in this instance the girl.....
you can take that even farther by slighty blurring the subject in the same manner and using a layer of the orignal under it all for the eyes and moth and nose....so the features are still sharp.
