Lately, I've been having a lot of fun downloading all kinds of brushes for CS3. However, I'm having trouble loading them without re-loading all of the default brushes. How can I prevent this? What is the exact order of steps that I should follow to make this work properly?

My fav brush site has a tutorial on installing brushes. Have you tried following the steps here?

What do you mean by loading them without reloading all of the default brushes? Just copy/paste all the brushes you download to the Photoshop/Preset folder and that's it. (:
You can go to this link here...

I think she means to be appending the brush set......instead she is loading and that clears the brushes and then she has t reload the default to get back to normal.
When you go to get a new set and click on it you get a box that asks to append cancel or ok....if you hit okay it clears brushes and just adds the set you selected. Appending will add them to your pallet.
