I have a very old Graphire (4x6) that I use with my home laptop, and an original Bamboo (4x6) for my work laptop, as I have RSI and using a mouse is a big no; using the pen is very natural and allows me to work all day.

Took me two days of constant use to get used to it rather than the mouse when I first started (about 10 years ago) and now it's second nature. When I have to use somebody else's computer with a mouse I feel awkward, and if I'm on there for any longer than about 20 minutes with the mouse then I'll know about if for the rest of the day, as my wrist will swell and the pains start.

I find that this size is great to work with every day, and allows me to do editing as accurately as I need. I've used one of the larger tablets at a client's site, and it was excellent for really intricate work, but to be honest, moving my arm around to cover the screen area got old very quickly; I'd only want to use a large tablet for the odd occasion that I'd be editing something that needed a high level of accuracy.

I've spent the last month or so researching which tablet I want to get. I've decided to go with the Wacom Pen and Touch. It also comes with PSE 7 which will be an upgrade for me! Thank goodness for Amazon Prime and $3.99 shipping it will be in my hands tomorrow.

I belong to a scrapbooking message board and it was suggested on there to play games like solitaire and such to get used to the pen as a mouse. I can't wait for it to get here so I can play!!

I have 3 tablets of different sizes and have not been comfortable transitioning to the pen. I LIKE your idea of playing games on it to get used to the pen! It is a simple way to practice without messing up my photos and getting frustrated.

Thanks for the idea and Happy New Year!

I have a 4x6 bamboo that I absolutely love. I love the pressure sensitivity and precision and I feel all kinds of wrong trying to use a mouse to edit photos anymore.
