Default A little help....

I had an idea for what could produce some great photos here.
What about a Moderator posting a picture of whatever and all us who like the post processing and playing with editing apps do our take on the photo.
Would that be something anyone would be interested in?

That's sounds like a really great idea! I can already see multiple interpretations really expanding our horizons...

Nice one xxpinballxx!

Hey guys

I've seen this done on another forum pretty successfully. It's just a matter of choosing a picture each week. So, I'm happy to set up a series of threads for this sort of thing.

As for choosing a picture, what if whoever wants to have their picture included in one of these threads (as the photo to be edited) PMs me a link to their picture on their photosharing site. From there I'll start the thread to keep things organized. We could start these on Tuesdays (since we've got the weekly assignments on Wednesdays, and the alphabet on Thursdays).

How's that sound? And who wants to be the first victim... I mean, brave soul?

That could be fun. Can we post a high rez or even a RAW version of the file? There's so much more to do with those than a small jpg.

Yes, I will link to a high-rez or RAW version of the file if you provide me with the link (as well as a link to a smaller version to display on the forum). If you want people to work on one of your photos for the week, feel free to send as many links to pictures as you want me in a PM and I'll pick one out each week for us to work on.

Equally, feel free to post as many different versions of the posted picture in the weekly thread.

Post up your suggestions here for how you'd like this to work, and if I get a photo by Tuesday, I'll start a new thread with all the full directions etc that are discussed on this thread

I think it should be a pretty much up to the discretion of the person editing the photo. I also think a little description of what you have done to the photo to create the look. I don't think there should be any limitations other than the starting point should be the actual photo. I would be willing to send a photo to start with might not be a great photo in terms of proper photography.
Also remember anything goes pretty much as far as adding other elements or taking them out. Should be fun.

Yup, I agree. Editing is up to the person doing the editing

And it doesn't matter if it's not a great photo in terms of "proper photography" because you never know how it might turn out with a bit of editing So feel free to be the first photo
