Default "Plastic" look

Hi, I just found this website (quite nice ), after 6 years of photography I think I know how to shoot, but my postprocessing skills are near to zero (just a lightroom) which I would like to change soon.

I have a question - I love "plastic" look on photographies like from this guy .: Chris Benny Imaging :. ... well how to do it? Is it lomo effect or?

Thanks and looking forward to learn a lot on this website

If you're referring to the images where the subject almost seems to be separate from the scene, where they really stand out. Then that's all about lighting, mainly using off camera flash. They're pictures where the camera is exposed for the scene first, and then you dial in the exposure for off-camera flash second. Check out Strobist. It's a good source for learning about those very techniques. If you're new to off camera flash all-together, then I'd recommend starting at the beginning of the articles and working your way to the end.

And welcome to DPS!

I'm not really seeing any specific post processing effects. It's mainly just good off camera lighting, good color saturation, and deep contrast. Maybe somebody else can help with it a little more though.

Agreed: nothing special, just proper lighting technique

Where is the "Plastic" look on those shots?
anyone can do those shots with proper lights positioning correctly and with little adjustment, camera type may or may not affect.

If i have a chance to shoot cars then i will show you how to do these or better.
