Hi,
I'm sorry if there is another section about this already, but i did a portrait shot yesterday of my girlfriend and i would like to add that black kinda see thruish boreder to the corners and lightly on the edge. I'm pretty sure you can do it in photoshop but i dont know what its called, and i just downloaded the photoshop trial, and ive never used photo shop before. if theres any photoshop tutorials on here that would be great i looked but i couldnt find any, any help would be greatly appreciated! and i can post the picture after ![]() Thanks |

That's a pretty heavy-handed vignette. For me, at least, it draws attention to itself and away from the subject.
Nice backlit hair highlights, btw, but the face looks underexposed and it looks like you have white balance issues.

I agree with Doug above. I would go lighter on the vignette, you may want to warm-up the picture a little.
In these situations it is a good idea to use flash so that you can expose the areas of the subject that aren't lit by the sun. This can be corrected for in PS/Lightroom where you can selectively either increase the exposure value of your selection or by adding some fill light digitally. Otherwise this makes for a really nice shot
