Default Final storage if using LR3?

Hey All,
Just wondering what you are all doing with the photos after making any final touches?
Are you leaving just the RAW and them exporting to JPG when needed?
Are you exporting all to JPG and saving with RAW file stacked in LR3?
Are you exporting all to a different format?
Are you concerned with storage space or not as a determining factor?
Do any of you have an iPad that you would like to have the images viewed?

Thanks

After publishing.either on the net or print. I just back up, twice, the lightroom catalogue to two external hard drives or in some cases dvds.

I do not own any Apple products.

I keep them in my hard drive and 2 backup drives

I use LR3 for post process. I flag all the photo I want to process usually 20% from weddings and 50% - 70% for personal like traveling, restaurant, random, & etc...

re you exporting all to JPG and saving with RAW file stacked in LR3?
On important album I leave in LR3 library and non important I remove from LR3 library not remove from disk. This makes searching through my library a little bit easier.

Are you exporting all to a different format?
For me I only export my flagged photos to JPEG. I know some user export to pdf

nope not at all. Hard drives are pretty affordable now. If someone is on a budget they can burn all the raw files on a dvd and delete from HD

I don't own a iPad but would love to if they were a little bit cheaper. You can buy a asus transformer for much much cheaper and does almost the same thing.
I also do not use Apple for post processing my 1.5k pc system would cost 5k if I would to buy an apple equivalent. I do have a macbook pro but it used for browsing the web and post processing during my travel.

1) leaving in raw only exporting when needed
2) not exporting all so no stacking
3) only using a different format than jpg if destination requires it. usually tif
4) no worries, storage is cheap - i can always archive old stuff if necessary
5) ipad and phones - i create a separate folder and tag it "ipod exports", i ave an export routine in LR that formats the desired raw file and moves it into the folder. On my itunes sync I have it only sybc the "ipod exports" folder

1. I import all my photographs in DNG format, not manufacturer specific RAW. This ensures that any software can read these files - now and in future.
2. The DNG files are stored as is (with multiple backups)
3. Images to be post processed are selected by using star ratings in LR.
4. Post processing is done in LR3 and changes stored in XMP sidecar files
5. Post processed images are exported to JPG at 85% quality with long edge resized to 1920
6. As a further backup, all DNG files are exported as full size JPG at 100% quality with Meta data intact. This can later be used to convert back into DNG for processing in case the original DNGs are lost or damaged.

I find that the above gives me what I need from images plus gives me multiple level backups in case of catastrophical loss...
