Default best user-friendly photo processing software

Hi, I have bought the complete Topaz collection. I find it a little bit not user-friendly, being a newbie at this. I am looking at some other software, namely Corel Photo Pro x3, Nik's Color Efex Pro, Corel Paint Shop Pro x4, among others. I love one program I saw that moved the cursor over the eyes and they were sharpened. Also, any ideas on creating more bokeh in photos besides shooting the picture differently? Thanks, everyone. You all are great.

I think all the programs you named would have a learning curve to them and take a bit of time with some tutorials or videos to learn.

From the idea of user friendly I get I think the ones you listed may be more hands on than you looking for. I have heard portraiture is a good user friendly program for portraits people around here use it maybe they could give you more details

Also what about light room? You can organise and edit your images in one app and it works with sliders you can start from the top and work down and when you learn more you can do more advanced things too in lightroom.

I can't push lightroom enough. It continues to pull me away from photoshop as an editing tool. There are still some things that I need PS for, but LR is amazing.

Have you tried looking into a combination of Gimp and UFRaw? They're both open source (and free.) There is a bit of a learning curve, but any good photo-editor will have a learning curve.

I suggest learning PS at a local Community Collage, then buy a copy of PSE at the collage bokstore. There is NO quick, easy way to learn and use software (we all would use it, if there was!).
