At the top of Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen we find: "SETTINGS" which activates a drop down menu which is SUPPOSED to provide three choices in opening PSE-10:
1. Open with welcome screen 2. Open in Organizer 3. Open in Editor I chose OPEN WITH ORGANIZER since I normally go to that from the welcome screen.. However now I cannot open my PSE-10 at all unless I shut down my computer first, reopen the computer and then click on the Desktop Icon for that program. The ORGANIZER will then open but, when I select an image and choose EDIT IN PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS; I get a trial version screen popping up which asks for a serial number. I bought the program at COSTCO and installed it on my desktop computer using the serial number that came with the disk. It worked fine. I also installed the program on my notebook computer and it works perfectly (I did not mess around with the SETTINGS menu on my notebook). I cannot find a "SETTINGS" menu to undo the selection of OPEN IN ORGANIZER and revert it to the original OPEN IN WELCOME MENU. I have attempted to uninstall my PSE-10 after inserting the installation disk in my desktop computer, thinking that I could reinstall the program. The uninstall hangs up because it cannot find the WELCOME SCREEN. I am hesitant to contact Adobe help by telephone because I have a very difficult time understanding their technicians who are besed in India. DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA TO HELP ME REGAIN MY PSE-10??? |

I dont know how or why but two days ago i turned on my laptop and my PSE10 was completely gone! nowhere to be found. i was freaking out so i just went ahead and reinstalled it. and its been working fine since then. Maybe you should uninstall and then reinstall it. it probably got corrupted some how.
