I was wondering if anyone could help me out.
I recently started taking photos and started up photography school.. and when i print the pictures they look very different from how they look on my computer (and every computer i viewed them on) I calibrated my monitor, but still cannot figure out where I am going wrong. The prints are coming back very yellow in color (mostly skin tone) and very saturated. Is it me? or the printing services? I tested out mpix and shutterfly. mpix actually produced a little better photo than shutterfly, but I am beginning to think it is something I am doing wrong. HELP!

If you're not getting good results from mpix and shutterfly, there's something wrong with your photos. Can you post an example?
What color space are you using? Printing facilities pretty much expect sRGB. |

I checked my colorspace a few times - i have the correct one.
I just printed a few test prints from the walgreens up the corner from me just a half hour ago, and they printed out better than shutterfly, but still the coloring is not right. Do you think it could be the program I use? I calibrated my monitor, but I cannot completely figure out how to use the color management in my software. I am going to be purchasing lightroom, but as of right now i am using corel paintshop pro Below are two examples of two different photos. I attached a copy of what I got back (they actually appear a little more yellow and saturated in person than I could take a picture of them) and then what I was hoping they would turn out like. On my monitor, they originals have a bit of yellow saturation too. Not quite as extreme as the prints, but it's there. Are you shooting Raw or Jpeg? And did you check the colorspace on the camera and the software? If you're shooting Jpeg, then make sure the camera is shooting in sRGB. But if you're shooting Raw, then you'll want to make sure the Raw editor is set to sRGB as well.

I'm not sure about mpix, but Shutterfly has a "vivid pics" setting applied by default that tweaks your pictures Shutterfly's VividPics imaging: what it is; how to disable it
